Bildungsconsulting Weingarten hosts and participates in various college/university planning events throughout the year. To schedule an admissions planning or essay writing workshop for your group, please contact us.

Most of what we run falls into three formats. Information evenings set out how a given system works — the U.S. holistic review, UCAS, the Dutch and Irish route, the German NC — and what that means for a student already halfway through their school career. Working sessions are hands-on: building a university list, mapping deadlines across several countries at once, or drafting and cutting a personal statement. Counsellor briefings are for school staff who advise on applications alongside their teaching load and need the current year’s changes rather than a general overview.

Sessions run online or on site, in English or German, and normally last between sixty and ninety minutes with time for questions at the end. Recordings of past webinars are not published; if a topic below is relevant to your family or your school, write to us and we will tell you when it is next scheduled or arrange a session for your group.

Who comes. Some evenings are aimed at families two or three years out, where the useful work is subject choice and building a record worth writing about. Others are for the year group already in the middle of applications, where the questions are concrete: which deadline governs which country, whether a test score still helps, how to answer a question about a school system the reader has never seen.

What we do not do. These are not recruitment events. No university pays to appear, nobody is sold a package at the end, and there is no ranking handed out. If a session concludes that a student’s plan is fine as it stands, that is a good outcome.
